Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Site Safety Manager (Lead) in Dayton, OH for a 6-week, then 1-year project. The role is a 1099 contractor with rate $54-$58/hr, weekly pay, and 40–50 hours per week.

You will lead safety on a live retrofit at an active fulfillment center, coordinating across trades to keep operations safe and compliant. The ideal candidate has OSHA 500 and 7+ years in lead safety roles, strong field presence, and excellent documentation and communication skills to support

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 required.
• 7+ years of experience in lead safety roles.
• Strong background in construction safety environments.
• Experience supporting multi‑trade projects in active/occupied facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead safety authority for all on‑site activities.
• Enforce OSHA compliance and site‑specific safety programs.
• Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses.
• Coordinate work activities around active operations.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site orientations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records.
• Partner with project leadership and multiple trades to drive a strong safety culture.
