Job summary

Dvorak, LLC is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead on-site safety on a heavy electrical construction project in Maryland. You will implement, enforce, and communicate the safety program, acting as the on-site expert for OSHA compliance and risk mitigation.

You’ll conduct daily hazard checks, lead safety training, investigate incidents, and develop job-specific safety plans with project teams, ensuring a proactive safety culture and strong regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of construction safety field experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and ES&H standards/regulations.
  • Experience conducting accident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills with field and leadership teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with regulatory agencies, insurers, and vendors.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day safety compliance and enforcement on an active heavy electrical construction site.
  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs, hazard checks, and inspections with foremen/superintendents.
  • Investigate incidents/near-misses; deliver findings within 72 hours; drive corrective action.
  • Design and deliver ongoing safety training, orientations, and coaching.
  • Develop Activity Hazard Analyses and job-specific safety plans with project teams.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Site Safety Manager is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, enforcement, and communication of Dvorak’s comprehensive safety program on an assigned project site. This role serves as the on-site subject matter expert on construction safety, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, maintaining a full-time field presence.The Site Safety Manager works closely with the Sr. Safety Manager, project teams, foremen, superintendents, customers, and regulatory agencies to foster a proactive, accountable safety culture on-site. This position is dedicated to full-time, hands-on field presence, ensuring that safety standards are consistently applied, communicated, and enforced throughout the project.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead day-to-day safety compliance and enforcement on an active heavy electrical construction site, serving as the on-site expert on OSHA regulations and risk mitigation
  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs, hazard checks, and inspections while partnering with foremen and superintendents to keep every work area safe
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, deliver findings to leadership within 72 hours, and drive corrective/preventive action plans
  • Design and deliver ongoing safety training, including new hire orientations and job-specific safety coaching
  • Partner with project teams to develop Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and job-specific safety plans
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of three (3) years of construction safety field experience
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and governmental ES&H standards and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience conducting accident investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with both field and leadership teams
  • Proven ability to collaborate with employees at all levels, regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and vendors
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional travel, evening/night shifts, and overtime as job demands require
Certifications & Requirements
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (OSHA 500 preferred)
  • First Aid / CPR certification
  • Fall Protection / Competent Person certification

Pay Range:

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year (based upon experience) + bonus opportunity

Work Location:

In person and field-based; may involve exposure to weather, heights, confined spaces, and loud noise. PPE required on all job sites.
