Job summary

HanwhaQcellsUSA Corp is actively seeking a Site Safety Manager to support upcoming solar and BESS EPC projects across the United States. This is a 100% travel, on-site position with typical project durations of 8–12 months and transitions to the next site thereafter.

The role involves regular site-based hours, with overtime and weekend work as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship at this time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general construction experience.
  • 2 years of managerial experience preferred.
  • 3 years of solar industry experience preferred.
  • Operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and related standards.

Responsibilities

  • Apply proactive, behavior-based safety methods with EPC personnel.
  • Help develop H&S policies, programs and procedures to foster a safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluate worker and contractor practices to reduce risks.
  • Lead investigations of accidents or mishaps to find causes and improvements.
  • Visit work areas to conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

Site Safety Manager: 100% Nationwide Travel

Join HanwhaQcellsUSA Corp and support the build of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the U.S. This is an evergreen posting for future project needs across our solar and BESS EPC portfolio. We are actively building a pipeline of qualified Site Safety Managers to support upcoming work.

IMPORTANT: Travel & Relocation Requirement
  • 100% nationwide travel isrequired
  • You willrelocateto project sites for 8–12 months at a time
  • This is a fully on-site, field-based role
  • Candidates must be comfortable with aproject-to-project travel lifestyle
Summary

This is an evergreen opportunity supporting upcoming solar and BESS EPC projects across the U.S. Site Safety Managers are placed on project sites for the duration of the build (typically 8–12 months) and then transition to the next project.

This isonsite, workingon the projectsite,working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm local timeor other working hours the site mayestablish. Overtime and weekend working hours will berequiredas needed.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
  • Work with site EPC personnel to implement and manage a proactive behavior-based approach to Health & Safety. This includes a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, incidentpreventionand a managementsystemsapproach to compliance.
  • Supports the development of H&S policies,programsand procedures toestablisha culture of health and safety.
  • Ensurescompliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Continuously evaluating employees andcontractorspractices, procedures to assess and reduce risks for the benefit of employees and contractors.
  • Lead accident or mishap investigations toidentifycauses and recommend improvement opportunities and preventive and corrective measures.
  • Visit work areas to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment,materialsand adherence to work requirements. Perform periodic safety and health risk assessments and compliance audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of general construction experience
  • 2 years managerial experience preferred
  • 3 years of solar industry experience preferred
  • Have an operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures
  • OSHA 30/510required
  • Must have a valid current driver license

Physical Demands
  • Able to climb andmaintainbalance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
  • Able to walk or movecontinuouslywhile carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials.It is recommended to getassistanceto lift items over 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand or walk forlong periodsof time
