Job summary

HanwhaQcellsUSA Corp seeks a Site Safety Manager to lead safety programs across nationwide solar and BESS EPC projects. This full-time on-site role requires 100% travel with 8–12 month site stays, overseeing incident prevention and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include health and safety policy development, site audits, and investigations. A strong background in construction safety and a valid driver license are required, with relocation for project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of general construction experience.
• 2 years managerial experience preferred.
• 3 years of solar industry experience preferred.
• OSHA 30/510 certification required.
• Must have a valid current driver license.

Responsibilities

• Work with site EPC personnel to implement and manage a proactive behavior-based approach to Health & Safety.
• Supports the development of H&S policies, programs and procedures to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Continuously evaluating employees and contractors practices, procedures to assess and reduce risks for the benefit of employees and contractors.
• Lead accident or mishap investigations to identify causes and recommend improvement opportunities and preventive and corrective measures.
• Visit work areas to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, materials and adherence to work requirements. Perform periodic safety and health risk assessments and compliance audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Site Safety Manager: 100% Nationwide Travel

Join HanwhaQcellsUSA Corp and support the build of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the U.S. This is an evergreen posting for future project needs across our solar and BESS EPC portfolio. We are actively building a pipeline of qualified Site Safety Managers to support upcoming work.

IMPORTANT: Travel & Relocation Requirement

• 100% nationwide travel is required
• You will relocate to project sites for 8–12 months at a time
• This is a fully on-site, field-based role
• Candidates must be comfortable with a project-to-project travel lifestyle

Summary

This is an evergreen opportunity supporting upcoming solar and BESS EPC projects across the U.S. Site Safety Managers are placed on project sites for the duration of the build (typically 8–12 months) and then transition to the next project.

Thisisonsite, workingon the projectsite,working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm local timeor other working hours the site may establish. Overtime and weekend working hours will be required as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Have an operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures
• OSHA 30/510 required
• Must have a valid current driver license

EXAMPLEOF PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
• Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
