Job summary

TK Elevator in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer, Quality Control Manager to lead safety programs on active construction projects. You will implement the Safety Program, ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations, and act as the technical safety leader supporting project teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS discipline (CSP preferred), 5+ years in safety with experience in elevator or construction work, and OSHA 30-hour certification.

• 5+ years safety experience, preferably in elevator/contractor roles.
• 3+ years enforcing Quality Management System programs.
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce compliance with safety standards and plans.
• Lead safety initiatives and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with project teams and conduct safety meetings (daily/weekly).
• Maintain awareness of project progress and safety performance.

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer, Quality Control Manager in San Diego, CA.

Responsible for administering and implementing safety practices and principles to eliminate injuries, improve safety performance, and to ensure compliance and understanding of safety policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Implement and administer TKE Safety Program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan onsite while work is being performed.
• Manage, communicate, and enforce compliance with TKE Safety Program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan.
• Serves as a technical leader in the realm of workplace safety, in support of leadership and all employees.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company, federal/state, and local safety standards.
• Develop, administer, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies.
• Coordinate accident prevention initiatives.
• Shape positive and proactive safety culture.
• Participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings.
• Follows up on job schedules, delays on published schedules, approved delays, executed contract delays, and change order approval delays. Participates in on-site coordination and construction meetings.
• Acts as point of contact for coordination. Ensures coordination and construction meetings are held on a weekly basis and that personnel are prepared.
• Maintains awareness of project progress through communication with all parties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:

• Bachelor’s degree within an EHS discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working as a safety professional, preferred within elevator industry or general contractor or equivalent role for a major subcontractor. Or 3+ year experience with CSP or Bachelor’s degree within an EHS discipline.
• 3+ years preparing and enforcing Quality Management System programs.
• Experience preparing and enforcing safety programs.
• OSHA 30- hour construction safety class or equivalent, preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products effectively.

Salary range is $90,000 to $125,000. The role offers a car allowance or company vehicle and fuel card.
