Job summary

Safety Worxs in Fargo, North Dakota seeks a Safety Technician for a 2-month project on a flood management site. You will lead safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, and develop programs to meet safety standards, with emphasis on accident prevention and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of heavy civil construction safety experience, OSHA 510, and strong MS Office reporting skills. Must be able to work on-site with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer safety program compliance and lead accident-prevention efforts.
• Conduct site inspections of project work areas and equipment.

• Investigate accidents and determine root causes with corrective action.
• Document jobsite inspections and audits focusing on hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Coordinate and conduct safety meetings and training programs.
• Participate in regulatory inspections to ensure compliance.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by safety/project managers.

Join Safety Worxs in Fargo, North Dakota for 2 months as a Safety Technician n this dynamic P3 flood management project. The work currently focused on the construction of the aqueduct and channels work. If you have 2+ years experience, enjoy boots-on-the-ground safety leadership, open to team collaboration, passionate about creating a safer workplace and making a real impact, this is the opportunity for you.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Administer compliance with the safety program and lead accident prevention efforts to ensure company and project safety goals are met.
• Conduct site inspections of project work areas and equipment.
• Develop, organize, and implement safety related programs that meet company safety standards.
• Assisting in the investigation of accidents and determining root causes and recommend corrective /preventive measures.
• Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with a focus on hazard recognition and unsafe behaviors.
• Coordinate and conduct safety meetings/training programs to ensure effective communication amongst new and existing employees.
• Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Carry out any other assigned tasks given by the Area Safety Manager or Area Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• 1- 2 years' safety experience in heavy civil construction

• Must be able to stand, walk, and climb multiple flights of stairs.
• Team player with a professional image, capable of handling highly confidential information
