Job summary

Diversified Safety Services, LLC. seeks an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer to provide safety leadership on a large federal construction project in Washington, DC.

The SSHO will drive proactive safety culture, oversee all safety and health activities, and ensure compliance with federal and contractual requirements. The role requires 5+ years in construction safety, CHST/CSP certification, OSHA 30-hour training (within 5 years), and First Aid/CPR/AED certification, plus strong EM385-1-1

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• CHST or CSP certification is required.
• OSHA 30 Hour Training completed within the past 5 years.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required.
• Must demonstrate strong knowledge of EM385-1-1 and hold current 40-Hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of site safety and health for the project, ensuring compliance with federal and contractual requirements.
• Conduct and document daily safety and health inspections, including hazard identification and corrective action tracking.
• Investigate incidents and prepare required reports; maintain OSHA 300 logs and daily production reports.
• Participate in preconstruction, preparatory, and progress meetings to align safety strategies with project operations.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with all safety and health standards and procedures.
