Atlas Copco is seeking a Site Coordinator to join our team and support operations at the customer site in Hamtramck, MI. You’ll report to the Site Manager and serve as the key link between our team and the customer, ensuring urgent response, clear communication, and effective handling of technical aspects of the job.

The role emphasizes problem solving, scheduling flexibility, and collaboration with General Motors’ facility in Hamtramck.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–3 years in a production environment with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling, or data collection systems.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Technical aptitude: able to read schematics; proficient in MS Office, networking, and database systems.
• Physical: ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Your role

In this role, reporting directly to the Site Manager, you’ll be the vital link between our team and the customer, ensuring smooth operations at our customer’s site. Your ability to respond with urgency, maintain effective communication, and manage technical aspects of the job will be essential to your success.

Here’s How You’ll Make An Impact

• Install and Optimize Tools: Set up new tools and adjust existing ones for maximum performance.
• Troubleshoot and Repair Tools: Diagnose, repair, and maintain Atlas Copco tools and equipment to ensure continued operation and performance.
• Perform Maintenance & Calibrations: Carry out preventative maintenance and ensure tools are calibrated and operating at peak efficiency.
• Communicate Effectively: Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer, addressing their needs with professionalism and responsiveness.

You will report daily to our customer’s, General Motors, facility located in Hamtramck, MI. This is a 1st shift opening, with occasional overtime as needed. Flexibility is essential as schedules may change based on company needs.
To succeed, you will need
