Site Reliability Engineering at Ford Motor Company

Plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services. As a Software Engineering Manager – Site Reliability, you will manage a team of Site Reliability Engineers, own observability tools, and deliver a high-quality experience for your customers.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
2. Experience working in enterprise environments including public cloud, on-premises, and virtual systems
3. 7+ years of hands-on Software Engineering experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
4. 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and delivering software products

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in relevant fields
• Experience with software operations, observability, and support
• Experience designing reactive, distributed, secure, and performant systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence
• Experience building enterprise mobile applications and supporting global software products
• Managing dependencies across large-scale programs
