Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Platform Observability team in Austin. You will improve reliability, scalability, and observability, migrating monitoring tooling and building automated solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize observability practices and drive incident readiness. Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years in SRE/DevOps, hands-on experience with New Relic/Datadog/Prometheus, and strong AWS/Kubernetes skills.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
Experience with AWS and Kubernetes or Docker.
Familiarity with SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and error budgets.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing and monitoring SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for consumer-facing services.
Monitor golden signals (latency, traffic, errors, saturation) across web, mobile apps, and backend APIs.
Participate in production-readiness checklists and operational reviews.
Configure observability instrumentation using New Relic or similar tools.
Build dashboards and alerts as code via Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Support incident response and on-call rotation.
