Role Overview

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to support our team responsible for building, managing, maintaining, deploying, and securing mission‑critical services to make the Internet work.

What You Will Do

• Participate in architecture, provisioning, and planning of our IBM hardware ecosystem.
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical hosts.
• Provisioning of PowerVM hosts.
• Configuration and certification of AIX images.
• Coordination with other technical staff.
• Performance of operational support functions.
• Documentation of processes.
• Providing critical technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience deploying and operating mission‑critical systems.
• Excellent understanding of IBM POWER systems.
• Excellent understanding of HMC/NIM/VIOS setup and ongoing maintenance.
• Strong automation experience.
• Solid troubleshooting skills and the curiosity to drive to an answer.
• Understanding of physical servers and the demands of maintaining them.
• Fluency in the AIX operating system.
• Fluency in the Linux operating system.
• Strong understanding of and production experience with PowerVC.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and systems.
