Working at the intersection of software engineering and operations, you’ll contribute to building resilient, automated and self-healing systems that keep businesses running and customer experiences seamless. This is an opportunity to grow your technical expertise, influence how reliability is engineered across our environment and play a meaningful role in advancing Global Payments’ mission to deliver secure, innovative and dependable payment technology at scale.

What you'll own

  • Advance automation and self-service capabilities that reduce operational complexity, improve engineering efficiency and enable teams to deploy and manage services with greater speed and confidence.
  • Influence performance and scalability improvements by analyzing system behavior, uncovering optimization opportunities and helping evolve platforms to support future business growth.

  • Strengthen customer and business confidence by helping ensure production environments remain secure, highly available and capable of delivering reliable payment experiences.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of one or more programming languages and a strong interest in applying software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations challenges.
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems, networking concepts such as Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), routing and network topologies, or a willingness to build expertise in these areas.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate issues, follow structured approaches and deliver effective solutions.
  • A collaborative and growth-oriented mindset, with the ability to build strong working relationships and continuously learn in a fast-paced technology environment.
It's a bonus if you have
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, DevOps or GitOps practices through academic, personal or professional projects.
