Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in the Oak Ridge area seeks a Systems Analyst Site Reliability Engineer to support ORNL in a security area requiring DOE Q clearance. This on-site customer-facing role involves deployment, maintenance, and optimization of large-scale HPC software infrastructure to ensure reliability.

You will work with HPC systems, GPUs, and MPI/OpenMP, collaborating with researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience with SLURM-based HPC systems and administration.
• Proficiency in Linux, Python and Bash for scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with HPC GPUs, MPI/OpenMP, and HPC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize compute infrastructure across multiple HPC systems.
• Deploy, test, and validate live HPC clusters.
• Troubleshoot node failures from OS, compilers, and logs.
• Perform routine maintenance and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with researchers and staff to manage tickets for reliability.
• Investigate and document complex software issues between users and teams.
• Develop automation tools and monitoring to streamline management.
• Stay current with HPC trends, GPUs, MPI/OpenMP, and performance tuning.
