Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Raptor) to tackle challenging infrastructure and HPC issues within the Raptor engine organization. You will partner with engineering, IT, and facilities to accelerate rocket engine development and improve compute performance.

Responsibilities include managing HPC/storage networks, designing scalable infra, and supporting engineering tools for maximum efficiency. Strong Linux/Windows skills and scripting are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience with client/server hardware, software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Linux and Windows server software.

Responsibilities

• Manage server infrastructure, HPC systems, storage systems, networks, and high-speed interconnects (Infiniband).
• Design, procure, and integrate infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with propulsion engineering staff to resolve bottlenecks.
• Coordinate and communicate with company-wide infrastructure and IT teams.
• Support deployment of applications (ANSYS, StarCCM+, manufacturing software) for optimal performance.
