Job summary

RedRock Resourcing is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Azure) to join their remote-friendly team. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving cloud-based services, ensuring high availability, and shaping monitoring and incident response practices.

The role requires hands-on Azure expertise, Terraform/IaC experience, and strong scripting skills. You will collaborate across engineering teams and participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in SRE or related infrastructure reliability role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with Azure services such as App Insights and Log Analytics.
• Proficient with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with patch management and routine maintenance.
• Familiar with ITSM platforms.

Site Reliability Engineer (Azure) - Up to £65k - New!

Salary: £65k per annum

Working pattern: Remote

We’re working with an large organisation that is looking for a experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join a growing technical team responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, performance and availability of cloud-based services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support cloud infrastructure and associated managed services, ensuring high levels of availability and service quality.
• Configure and enhance monitoring, alerting and observability tools to identify potential issues before they affect services.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
• Contribute to infrastructure performance testing, resilience improvements and capacity planning.
• Manage scheduled maintenance, system upgrades and security patching.
• Identify opportunities to automate routine processes and reduce manual workloads.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams on infrastructure improvements, operational procedures and architectural decisions.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as part of the wider support function.

Skills

• At least 4 years' experience in an SRE or closely related infrastructure reliability role.
• Hands-on experience supporting and managing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with Azure services, including:
• Application Insights and Log Analytics
• Azure networking, including network security groups and virtual networks
• Experience using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Familiarity with Cloudflare in an infrastructure or service support environment.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and concepts.
• Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Practical PowerShell administration and scripting experience.
• Experience managing infrastructure upgrades, patching and routine maintenance.
• Familiarity with service desk or IT service management platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to resolving technical issues.
