Everpure is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of a group of platform services end to end, guiding programs that raise reliability across the organization. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams across Everpure's engineering sites.

You will work in Prague, joining an in‑office setup, and contribute to improving observability, incident response, and production readiness for critical services in a fast‑growing data

Qualifications

• Proven track record in software/platform/site reliability engineering with end‑to‑end ownership of production systems.
• Strong software engineering proficiency in Python or Go with tooling for platform scale.
• Hands‑on experience operating distributed systems on Linux and Kubernetes using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

THE ROLE

Our Site Reliability Engineering team owns the reliability, observability and incident management of the internal engineering platform that product teams across Everpure build and run their services on. We define how reliability is measured, operate the shared services the platform depends on, run the incident lifecycle, and remove the operational toil that slows engineering down.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Prague you will own the reliability of a group of platform services end to end and lead one or more of the programmes that raise reliability across the organisation. You will set technical direction within your area, guide less experienced engineers, and work closely with the product teams whose services run on the platform and with SRE colleagues in our other engineering sites.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Service level objectives and error budgets. Lead the definition of objectives with service owners, design how they are measured and reported, and own the reliability indicators the organisation tracks, including time to detect and time to recover. Use them to shape the team's priorities and to make the case for reliability work with engineering leadership.
• Observability. Set the direction for a consistent pipeline for metrics, logs and alerts across our data centres and public cloud. Drive improvements in detection speed and alert quality across teams, and define the standards that service owners build to.
• Incident management. Take part in the on‑call rotation and act as incident commander for significant incidents. Lead blameless postmortems, make sure their actions are completed, and improve the incident process itself: ownership, escalation, communication and review.
• Shared platform services. Own the architecture and operation of the messaging, caching, database and continuous‑integration services the platform depends on. Lead their evolution to highly available designs, including redundancy, capacity planning, upgrade strategy and tested recovery procedures.
• Automation. Identify the largest sources of operational toil and lead the engineering work that removes them. Help define how AI is applied to incident triage and remediation, including the safeguards around automated actions, and measure the effect on recovery time.
• Production readiness. Run design and production‑readiness reviews for new and changing services, set the reliability expectations product teams are held to, and coach engineers across teams on reliability practices.
• Technical leadership. Mentor engineers on the team, review designs and changes, and represent the team's reliability work with partner teams and leadership.
• We are primarily an in‑office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven track record in software, platform or site reliability engineering, including several years of end-to-end ownership of production systems and on‑call for critical services.
• Strong software engineering proficiency in languages such as Python or Go, with experience building operational tooling for platform scale.
• Hands‑on expertise operating distributed systems on Linux and Kubernetes using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines across multi‑cloud or hybrid environments.
• Experience running stateful services (databases, caches, or message brokers) with focus on high availability, disaster recovery, and automated failover.
• Demonstrated capability in defining SLOs/error budgets, leading blameless postmortems, and driving technical direction across engineering teams.
