Job summary

THE ROLE

As Director of Strategy and Business Operations, you will serve as a strategic operational leader driving the execution of Everpure’s R&D strategy and product priorities. Partnering directly with R&D executives, Product Management, Finance, and Engineering leadership, you will translate corporate objectives into integrated operating plans, resource allocations, and governance frameworks. You will align headcount, OpEx, and CapEx investments to high-impact initiatives while establishing performance scorecards that accelerate engineering effectiveness and decision‑making speed across the enterprise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Strategic & Operational Planning: Translate R&D priorities into integrated operating plans, measurable outcomes, and cross‑functional execution roadmaps that align investments with corporate goals.
• Investment & Resource Optimization: Oversee R&D headcount, OpEx, CapEx, and infrastructure resource planning, delivering data‑backed recommendations to guide executive prioritization and trade‑off decisions.
• Engineering & Business Performance Metrics: Establish R&D scorecards and performance metrics that convert operational data into actionable insights, shifting business reviews toward proactive risk mitigation and outcome‑driven decisions.
• Governance & Operating Cadence: Design and manage executive operating mechanisms, business reviews, and planning forums that ensure clear accountability, decision follow‑through, and organizational clarity without unnecessary process friction.
• Cross‑Functional Program Execution: Lead complex strategic programs spanning Engineering, Product, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain to resolve cross‑departmental dependencies and deliver key business commitments.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership: Demonstrated capability acting as a trusted operational partner to R&D and Product executives, converting complex business strategy into executable operational plans.
• Resource Governance & Portfolio Economics: Expertise in managing multi‑faced R&D planning cycles, resource allocation models, and investment trade‑offs across OpEx, CapEx, and infrastructure portfolios.
• Analytical Mastery & Data‑Driven Decision Making: Skill in distilling complex operational datasets into clear executive scorecards, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations.
• Cross‑Functional Influence & Change Management: Proven track record of navigating organizational ambiguity, resolving cross‑functional dependencies, and aligning diverse stakeholders across Engineering, Finance, HR, and Operations.

We are primarily an in‑office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:

$247,000 - $317,000 USD
