Job summary

Pall Corporation in New York is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance leader to advance manufacturing quality in a high-tech aerospace environment. You will drive process controls, lead audits, and improve performance through data-driven methods.

The role requires a BS in engineering/manufacturing, 7+ years QA in manufacturing/aerospace, 3+ years of leadership, Six Sigma/Lean experience, and strong collaboration with customers and suppliers. SAP experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing.
• 7+ years of progressive quality assurance experience in manufacturing and aerospace.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing people.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, planning, and decision making.
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Minitab; able to analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Process Control through Procedures, Work Instructions, & Specifications.
• Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems, identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
• Internal audit; External/Customer audit(s); Supplier Quality management; Product identification & traceability
• Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports including ensuring KPIs are met by working to the plan, including management of, and reporting

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive quality assurance experience within a manufacturing and aerospace environment
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience, including experience managing people leaders, with demonstrated excellence in leadership, team management, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Strong in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision making
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience
• Experience dealing with customers and suppliers
• Proficient in Microsoft / Minitab and able to analyze and interpret data.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• ERP knowledge with SAP preferred
• Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and Safety Management Systems for Aerospace
• ASME or Machining background (CNC)
• Working with the FAA, CAA, or other Aerospace regulatory body
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
