Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics seeks a Site Project Engineer to lead on-site installation, commissioning, and startup for material handling automation projects in the United States. You will coordinate with project managers, review layouts, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, documentation, and collaboration with commissioning engineers and customers to deliver high-quality installations and robust handovers.

Qualifications

• 4-year Engineering or Building Construction Management Degree required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read drawings/layouts.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager/Field Application Engineer on site.
• Review equipment layouts and update installation drawings as needed.
• Assist with RFQ development for installation contractors.
• On-site receiving and organization of the implementation site, documenting damage and inventory.
• Develop daily Site Reports and share with project team/customers.
• Manage subcontractors to meet safety, cost, and schedule targets.
• Implement and manage safety processes on site with subcontractors.
• Support commissioning, debugging, and equipment interfaces.
