Job summary

Lonza in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Site Process Engineer to support the manufacture of life-changing therapies. You will apply engineering principles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, lead equipment commissioning, start-up activities, and resolve process issues.

This full-time, site-based role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams, data analysis, technical documentation, and mentorship across the site. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in process engineering, MSAT, technical operations, or a related field within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of process improvement, equipment commissioning, technology transfer, or manufacturing support activities.
• Experience analyzing technical data and solving complex operational challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams.
• Understanding of automation systems, process controls, or manufacturing technologies.
• A commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve process, mechanical, and control system issues.

• Train and mentor colleagues while sharing technical expertise across the site.
