Job summary

Lonza in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Site Process Engineer to support the manufacture of life-changing therapies. You will optimize manufacturing processes, drive operational improvements, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for patients.

This fully site-based role emphasizes real-time collaboration, safety, quality, and continuous improvement as you lead equipment commissioning, troubleshoot processes, and mentor colleagues across the site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in process engineering within a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of process improvement, technology transfer, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience analyzing technical data and solving operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Understanding of automation systems and process controls.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement.

  • Author technical documentation and support compliance, quality, and risk management activities.
  • Train and mentor colleagues while sharing technical expertise across the site.

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in process engineering, Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT), technical operations, or a related field within a regulated environment.

  • Knowledge of process improvement, equipment commissioning, technology transfer, or manufacturing support activities.

  • Experience analyzing technical data and solving complex operational challenges.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams.

  • Understanding of automation systems, process controls, or manufacturing technologies.

  • A commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
