Job summary

Intertek in Fridley, Minnesota is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead the Electrical team and manage staff, revenue, and EBIT for the location. The role emphasizes process improvement, efficiency, and cross-group collaboration to maximize margins.

The ideal candidate has a strong operations background in engineering, with budget and leadership experience, and is able to travel up to 15% as needed. Onsite work and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management or a technical discipline.
  • 5 years of operations management experience in a technical or engineering environment.
  • 3 years of experience with budget management and P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to work onsite and travel up to 15%.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and safe driving record.

  • Responsible for the revenue/cost/EBIT for the location and drive towards maximization.
  • Identify/develop/improve processes to enhance and maximize efficiencies and margin/expense.
  • Coordinate with other working groups to create synergies and reach and exceed targeted goals.
  • Mentor and develop management staff by setting appropriate goals and objectives.
  • Work with Team to hit key KPIs and service level indicators.
  • Make business recommendations on capital expenditures and other initiatives.
  • Investigate and promote new business opportunities.
  • Perform other work as required.

What are we looking for?

The Site Operations Manager is responsible for the management of staff, hitting P&L targets, and revenue growth/EBIT for a specified region or location within North America. This position has the potential for 15% travel.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $120Kto $175K. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you’ll do:

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degreein Engineering, Management or technical discipline
  • 5 years of operations management experience in a technical or engineering environment
  • 3 years of experience with budget management and P&L responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal and demonstrated communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Excellent leadership and management, mentoring and coaching skills
  • Must be willing to work onsite
  • Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and safe driving record
