Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations across the main plant and satellite locations in New England and New York. You will oversee Operators, Drivers, and Vehicle Mechanics, driving safety, reliability, and productivity in a 24/7, multi-site environment.

The role requires a strong operations background, hands-on leadership, and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while maintaining regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7+ years of plant or operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred with 4+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in process plant operations and/or maintenance required.
• Distribution operations and/or maintenance knowledge preferred.
• Strong leadership with a hands-on, can-do attitude and a drive for continuous improvement.
• Commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and compliance.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teaching skills.
• Proficiency with PC applications; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety performance by actively engaging employees in Basic Safety Processes across all operations.
• Provide Safety, Health, and Environmental training and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support day-to-day plant and distribution operations, identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee the site Management of Change process and documentation.
• Respond to and support plant and distribution issues on a 24/7 basis as needed.
• Plan, organize, and deliver safe, reliable operational results within budget.
• Identify maintenance concerns and partner with regional maintenance to implement actions.
• Drive productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives across units.
• Coach, train, counsel, and develop employees for performance and growth.
• Interface with Air Products professionals, internal support teams, and regulatory officials.
