Job summary

Lithium Americas Corp. seeks a Site Manager to lead commissioning, startup, ramp-up and operations at the Thacker Pass plant in northern Nevada.

You will oversee mining, processing and maintenance, coordinating with EHS and logistics for safe, compliant performance. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and 15+ years of progressive operations leadership in chemical or hydrometallurgical industries, with a proven focus on safety, environmental stewardship and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive operations experience in chemical/mineral/hydrometallurgical industries.
• Experience leading plant/operations management and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, startup, ramp-up and routine operations across mine and process units.
• Oversee site training functions aligned with commissioning, startup, regulatory, and workforce development needs.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Logistics, EHS, and other functions to ensure safety, efficiency, and performance.
