Job summary

Lithium Americas Corp. is seeking a Site Manager to join the Operations team at the Thacker Pass project.

You will provide site-wide oversight for commissioning, startup, ramp-up, and daily operations, working closely with the Site Operations Director. This role requires leading the Training function, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, EHS and Logistics to ensure readiness and continuous improvement while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive operations experience in the chemical, mineral, or hydrometallurgical industries.
• Experience as a Plant/Operations Manager/Superintendent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient plant commissioning, startup, ramp-up and operations.
• Coordinate daily site commissioning and operations across functions.
• Lead the Training function to align with readiness and workforce development needs.
• Monitor performance metrics and escalate risks to the Site Operations Director.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance and productivity site-wide.
• Collaborate with EHS, supply chain and maintenance; plan resources.
