Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site Merchandising & Operations Manager based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of ecommerce operations, digital merchandising, analytics, and customer experience.

You will own the day-to-day performance and functionality of a fast-growing beauty ecommerce site.

The position combines hands-on Shopify management with strategic merchandising and site optimization.

You will influence how products are discovered, ranked, presented, and purchased across the digital storefront.

Using site analytics and customer behavior insights, you will identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, and product discovery.

You will collaborate closely with marketing, creative, customer experience, product, engineering, and external technology partners.

This is a fully remote opportunity suited to an analytical, detail-oriented ecommerce professional who enjoys moving quickly and making measurable improvements.

Accountabilities
  • Own and execute the site merchandising calendar across product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and evergreen initiatives, ensuring timely and on-brand execution.

  • Manage product ranking and presentation across the homepage, collection and category pages, blog content, and other key digital touchpoints.

  • Analyze site behavior, merchandising performance, search trends, engagement metrics, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and recommend enhancements or A/B tests.

  • Lead onsite content strategy and coordinate the development and implementation of digital assets supporting launches, promotions, and brand campaigns.

  • Optimize cross-sell and upsell functionality to increase basket building and improve product discovery.

  • Manage onsite search optimization, navigation, filtering, metadata, and product tagging to improve relevance, usability, and organic visibility.

  • Partner with growth marketing and product marketing teams to optimize landing pages, collections, features, and hero products for paid and organic traffic.

  • Create and manage Shopify discount codes, promotions, product configurations, catalog structures, and other ecommerce operational requirements.

  • Own onsite inventory data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and communicate inventory discrepancies.

  • Partner with Customer Experience teams to identify, triage, and resolve site bugs and functionality issues, escalating complex issues to developers or external partners.

  • Manage third-party ecommerce applications and integrations, including vendor relationships, tool performance, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization.

  • Support the development and execution of A/B testing initiatives, personalization strategies, and broader ecommerce site roadmaps in partnership with ecommerce leadership.

Requirements
  • 3--5 years of experience in ecommerce, site merchandising, digital operations, or a closely related field; beauty or wellness industry experience is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Shopify is required, with familiarity with Shopify Flows and backend product management considered a strong advantage.

  • Experience with A/B testing, personalization, heatmapping, and site analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar tools.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to pull and interpret reports, identify trends, and turn data into clear and actionable recommendations.

  • Experience managing third-party application integrations and vendor relationships, including evaluating tools, coordinating implementations, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising, product discovery, onsite search, navigation, catalog management, conversion optimization, and digital customer journeys.

  • Experience with AI tools to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and increase operational efficiency.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to ecommerce operations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Creative, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Ecommerce teams.

  • People management experience is preferred.

  • Must be comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Must reside in the United States.

Benefits
  • Anticipated annual salary range of $85,000--$110,000, with the final offer determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors.
