Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with extensive construction experience, or 15 years of related construction experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and reports.
• Must possess basic computer skills including MS Office and scheduling tools; MS Project a plus.
• Ability to work in a team, self-motivated, and capable of independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule.
• Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work and aid in the full project estimate.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work, including subcontractors, and track productivity and quantities.
• Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders for review by the MEP Project Manager.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and ensure compliance with company QMS.
• Prepare reports on progress, materials used, and costs; adjust schedules as directed.
• Communicate with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to prevent delays.
