Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading all on-site activities of a project to ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning, and maintenance phases.

How you’ll make an impact:

  1. Site planning: Planning project on-site activities with the Project Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinating agreements between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.

  2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities from receiving the assigned site area from the customer or Project Manager to handing over to the end customer on completion day, ensuring the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.

  3. Stakeholder relations: Serving as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations such as authorities, banks, and suppliers to ensure their active support of field activities.

  4. Health, safety, and environment (HSE) and project security: Ensuring that detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plans are in place for each work package, compliant with HITACHI ENERGY H&S policies.

  5. Material handling: Ensuring correct handling, storage, and installation of HITACHI ENERGY-delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics to secure timely site delivery of equipment and materials.

  6. Sub-contractors: Managing sub-contractors on site to meet delivery dates and standards.

  7. People leadership and development: Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed, with guidance, motivation, and development of reports within HR policies. Coordinating local accommodation, site facilities, and office equipment.

Your Background:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Manager of medium-sized projects, focusing on EPC projects.

  • Experience in executing HV/MV electrical systems construction projects.

  • Knowledge of Italian HSE regulations (ref. DLgs 81/08).

  • Previous experience with Italian utilities (TERNA/ENEL/EDISON) and/or in the Data Center segment is a plus.

  • Fluent in Italian and English.
