Job summary

M Group is seeking a site operations professional to drive mains renewal schemes and lead field teams. You will report to the Project Manager, set targets, and coordinate resources to ensure delivery to exacting standards.

Responsibilities include SHEQ support, toolbox talks, client liaison, and delivering open cut, slip lining, pipe bursting and directional drilling projects while ensuring compliance with water quality regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of water industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• CSCS/SHEA cards and related supervisory qualifications required.
• Experience managing subcontractors and direct site teams.

• Deliver schemes such as open cut, slip lining, pipe bursting, and directional drilling; ensure water quality regulations are met.

What will you be doing?

You’ll drive day-to-day activities on our mains renewal schemes as part of our Operations Team. Based mainly north of Preston, youll also cover other sites when needed. Leading site teams, youll report to the Project Manager, set clear daily and weekly targets, co-ordinate resources, and ensure delivery to the highest standards. Youll support SHEQ, conduct toolbox talks, manage quality, liaise with clients and highways, and deliver schemes such as open cut, slip lining, pipe bursting, and directional drilling, always ensuring water quality regulations are met.

What you’ll bring

Do you have water industry knowledge and experience? Do you hold water SHEA or CSCS card, plus NRSWA Supervisor qualifications? You’ll require SSSTS (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence. Experience managing subcontractors and direct teams. Strong understanding of CDM, site decision-making, and ensuring team compliance.
