Job Title: Site Manager - Electrical
Overview
Vanderlande’s Site Management Department manages the installation and project execution of Material Handling Systems, Warehouse Automation, and Parcel Sortation systems across North America. Due to increasing project numbers and geographical spread, the team is growing. You will report hierarchically to the Electrical Department Manager and daily to the Sr. Site Manager and/or Construction Manager. In this role, you will be part of a site management project team overseeing the installation of material handling automation and sortation systems, managing electrical subcontractors on large, complex projects to ensure safe and compliant electrical installations according to standards, specifications, and technical requirements.
Position Summary:
You will serve as the primary contact for electrical subcontractors, facilitating clear communication with internal staff, subcontractors, and customers. Projects typically last 6-12 months, during which you will track electrical progress, quality, schedule adherence, maintain redline updates, and resolve or escalate discrepancies related to electrical design, customer standards, drawings, or other information. You are expected to proactively report requirements, resolve logistical, technical, or organizational issues, and communicate effectively regarding progress, scope changes, non-conformities, and site issues. This role involves up to 100% travel and a workweek of 50-60 hours, including overtime after 40 hours.
