You will report hierarchically to the Electrical Department Manager and daily to the Sr. Site Manager and/or Construction Manager. In this role, you will be part of a site management project team overseeing the installation of material handling automation and sortation systems, managing electrical subcontractors on large, complex projects to ensure safe and compliant electrical installations according to standards, specifications, and technical requirements.

Position Summary:

You will serve as the primary contact for electrical subcontractors, facilitating clear communication with internal staff, subcontractors, and customers. Projects typically last 6-12 months, during which you will track electrical progress, quality, schedule adherence, maintain redline updates, and resolve or escalate discrepancies related to electrical design, customer standards, drawings, or other information. You are expected to proactively report requirements, resolve logistical, technical, or organizational issues, and communicate effectively regarding progress, scope changes, non-conformities, and site issues. This role involves up to 100% travel and a workweek of 50-60 hours, including overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include a cost-covered home leave every 6 weeks, plus phone, computer, and relevant training opportunities.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Ensure subcontractors execute safe electrical installations, alterations, additions, and repairs within the material handling industry.
  • Manage subcontractors with crews up to 100 workers on projects exceeding $50M.
  • Coordinate with onsite vendors to support electrical installation.
  • Work with subcontractors to confirm scope, schedule personnel, materials, tools, and equipment to meet construction timelines.
  • Ensure electrical installations meet code requirements and specifications through coordination with subcontractors, project teams, and customers.
  • Verify electrical project progress during meetings and ensure updates are communicated.
  • Ensure installations follow detailed engineering drawings, distribute redline updates, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Conduct weekly electrical progress assessments with subcontractors and align on progress.
  • Validate and maintain turnover documentation, including reports and test results.
  • Manage electrical project budget through forecasting, mitigating change orders, and monitoring hours.

Position Description:

  • Ensure installation and certification of industrial networking per engineering drawings.

  • Complete tasks within operational, cost, time, and quality constraints.
  • Support equipment trials and ensure standards are met.
  • Train subcontractors on Vanderlande and other equipment installations.
  • Maintain safety standards and awareness.
  • Track project deliverables, performance, staffing, and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
