Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. seeks a Site Manager to direct and manage all site operations including production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse, ensuring efficient and customer-satisfying results.

You will coordinate activities with supervisors to meet objectives, develop budgets, and implement cost controls while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance across the site.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the industrial manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years plant/general management experience.
  • Proven leader with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for directing and managing all the site operations with overall accountability for production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the site and delivery of a work product that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.

  • Direct and manage site operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving
  • Coordinate site activities through planning with supervisors to ensure the total manufacturing/production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Develop and control profits, plans, and budget
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, labor, wages, and salaries
  • Establish and monitor overall site performance for production and quality
  • Maintain existing site facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to site facilities and equipment when necessary
  • Confer with upper management to establish production and/or quality standards, develop controls, and obtain required data from all key operational activities
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to supervisors

Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other
  • Develop and recommend annual budget requirements for department
  • Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies, and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards
  • Initiate various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules, train new employees
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
Essential Skills And Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the industrial manufacturing industry
  • Minimum of 3 years plant/general management experience
  • Proven leader and team player with strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Beneficial Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience preferred
  • Greater than 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing industry preferred
  • Greater than 3 years plant/general management experience preferred
  • Ability to meet minimum vision requirements for operation of a powered industrial vehicle with or without corrective lenses
