Job summary

Scholars Unlimited is seeking a Site Director to lead our K-5 after-school program in Denver-area partner schools. You will oversee daily operations, supervise site staff, and coordinate literacy, SEL, STEM, and recreation activities.

This role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and adherence to Colorado child care licensing rules. The program runs Sept 14, 2026–May 7, 2027, with hours typically 1:00 pm–6:00 pm, up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Must possess CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certificates, or obtain within 30 days.
• Must possess all Colorado child care licensing certifications within 30 days.
• Must attend and complete all paid training requirements.
• Must be able to work the program scheduled hours.
• Must pass criminal history background checks prior to start.
• Two+ years of experience managing after-school programs with staff supervision.
• Experience in education, child development, or recreation management.
• Bilingual in Spanish is desired.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall coordination and operation of the afterschool program.
• Supervise site staff and ensure classrooms are on task.
• Coordinate with facilities, food services, front office staff, and enrichment providers.
• Evaluate and document student growth and communicate with parents/guardians.
• Maintain accurate student files and ensure a safe, clean environment.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
• Serve as liaison between students, parents, and site staff.
• Maintain supplies and submit requests timely; follow licensing rules.
