Job summary

Goshen Medical Center is seeking an experienced administrator to coordinate the center's day-to-day operations under the CEO's guidance. The role oversees scheduling, inventory, staffing coverage, and policy compliance while promoting staff development and patient flow improvements.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to work across departments to implement standards and ensure OSHA compliance. This on-site role offers growth within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred and two years experience in healthcare management or related field are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, pleasant personality, integrity and discretion; ability to work with all departments.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise office functions, train employees for personal development, enhance patient flow, meet OSHA regulations.
  • Develop maintenance and housekeeping regulations and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates administrative duties and day-to-day management of the center as delegated by the CEO.
  • Maintain all schedules: providers, clinical, clerical and staff for special programs (such as P.A.P., BCCCP, outreach, etc.).
  • Maintains inventory control and orders supplies as needed.
  • Approves leave time for all areas and arranges for coverage for staff and providers when necessary.
  • Reviews all time records for accuracy, controls overtime, approves PTO requests, and approves reimbursement for travel.
  • Interviews and hires at the site with the assistance of HR department and/or Clinical Director.
  • Implements disciplinary process and properly documents all actions, such as imposing counseling, probation, unpaid leave, and dismissals.
  • Maintain Safety Compliance (OSHA): OSHA Regulations; Incident or accident reports; Patient complaints resolution and documentation; Patient discharges (handled with assistance/approval of Med. Director).
  • Create and manage Personal Development plans for the staff.
  • Provide ongoing training to maintain quality, prevent errors and develop personal growth.
  • Assist with provider charting updates with Executive staff.
  • Ensures standards are met for order and cleanliness and maintain schedules for repairs, lawn care, building, floor care and office machines.
  • Monitor performance measures, participate in planning, and lead team to implement actions for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct Staff Meetings; Ensure that One on One is completed for each staff; Fill out and meet with staff to discuss bonus rating; All other duties assigned by Supervisor

Job description

Requires orientation to computer operations, ability to enter and extract data to utilize for reports. Must be able to interpret and implement policies and procedures. Must be able to plan, coordinate and supervise office functions, train employees for personal development, enhance patient flow, meet OSHA regulations, and develop maintenance and housekeeping regulations.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates administrative duties and day-to-day management of the center as delegated by the CEO.

  • f. Implements disciplinary process and properly documents all actions, such as imposing counseling, probation, unpaid leave, and dismissals.

  • g. Maintain Safety Compliance (OSHA):

    • i. OSHA Regulations

    • ii. Incident or accident reports (including Workman’s Compensation reports).

    • iii. Patient complaints resolution and documentation.

    • iv. Patient discharges (handled with assistance/approval of Med. Director).



  • h. Create and manage Personal Development plans for the staff.

  • i. Provide ongoing training to maintain quality, prevent errors and develop personal growth.

  • j. Assist with provider charting updates with Executive staff.

  • k. Ensures standards are met for order and cleanliness and maintain schedules for repairs, lawn care, building, floor care and office machines, including credit and debit machines.

  • l. Monitor performance measures, participate in planning, and lead team to implement actions for continuous improvement.

  • m. Conduct Staff Meetings

  • n. Ensure that One on One is completed for each staff

  • o. Fill out and meet with staff to discuss bonus rating

  • p. All other duties assigned by Supervisor
