Job summary

Briess Industries in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, is seeking a Site Lead to partner with the Production Supervisor and drive safety, quality, and production performance across the malting, roasting, and grain elevator facility.

You will lead in safety, overall site operations, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards. This role oversees grain handling, storage, and inventory management to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or food processing.
• Experience leading food safety, quality, and regulatory programs (HACCP, GMP, SQF).
• Strong knowledge of grain handling, malting, roasting, and ingredient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safety-first culture and lead safety training, audits, and investigations.
• Direct daily operations across grain elevator, malting, roasting, packaging, warehousing, and shipping.
• Ensure production schedules meet quality and efficiency targets while optimizing labor and equipment.
• Monitor metrics: throughput, yields, downtime, efficiencies, and costs.
• Drive continuous improvement and align operations with customer expectations.
• Partner with maintenance on preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Oversee inventory, grain receiving, storage, and product movement; ensure accuracy.
