Job summary

Visit.org, Inc. is seeking a Site Lead to own and scale our fulfillment and logistics at our Northvale, New Jersey site. You will drive end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and vendor management, leading a hands-on team on the floor.

This role demands an entrepreneurial, data-driven builder who can optimize KPIs, implement SOPs, and ensure on-time delivery for regional events while controlling costs and maintaining safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Full accountability for end-to-end regional warehouse ownership receiving, inbound QC, staging, kitting & assembly, pick & pack, outbound QC, palletization, and outbound shipping, plus returns processing for reusable assets (e.g., Event Tool Kits) coming back into stock.
  • Build and scale operating processes, designing and managing a scalable warehouse/operations workflow in alignment with the above, document SOPs, train the team on them, deploy, audit adherence, and continuously improve.
  • Lead from the floor and step into any station receiving, kitting, pick/pack, or outbound when volume or staffing requires it. This is a working lead, not a supervisor who only directs.
  • Daily prep & prioritization using shipment deadline visibility to decide what the floor works on first each day and keep events on schedule.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop staff; set day-to-day direction and give ongoing performance feedback in an agile, startup-minded culture.
  • Own the packing standards box selection, cushioning, void-fill that gets kits to clients intact, and avoid packing & damage prevention, and audit packing quality and run down root cause on any damage or complaint.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliation across kit components, raw materials, and finished kits.
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day 3PL/carrier vendor relationship at the site level; track performance and elevate issues.
  • Manage warehouse layout, slotting, and peak-capacity planning across 30+ kit types.
  • Track and actively improve KPIs for on-time ship rate, damage/defect rate, inventory accuracy, kit cycle time, labor cost per kit, and dock-to-stock time.
  • Control labor costs budget, keep accountable to site expenses aligned to budget, and support cost tracking and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams on event supply needs, ensuring logistics timelines match event schedules.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk during the entire span of the workday
  • Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
  • Bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, logistics, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume, or startup environment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse or fulfillment teams, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience and a demonstrated ability to lead from the floor while stepping into operational roles when needed.
  • Build and document SOPs from the ground up, train teams on new processes, audit adherence, and continuously improve workflows to increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, reconciliation, receiving, staging, kitting, and fulfillment while working effectively with inventory management systems or Warehouse Management System WMS platforms.
  • Coordinate parcel, LTL, and FTL shipments and apply strong knowledge of palletization, freight preparation, receiving, and outbound shipping requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with 3PLs, carriers, freight providers, and other logistics vendors while monitoring performance and resolving operational issues.
  • Track and improve KPIs, including on-time shipment rate, inventory accuracy, damage and defect rates, kit cycle time, labor productivity, and cost per kit using Excel, Google Sheets, Monday.com, or similar tools.
  • Plan labor, capacity, workflow, and daily priorities effectively to meet competing shipment deadlines and keep regional events on schedule.
  • Work directly on the warehouse floor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
  • Take extreme ownership, solve problems independently, and build structure and scalable processes in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Must be available to travel as needed to support business objectives. Expected travel may be up to 25% of the time, depending on the role and operational needs.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align logistics execution with business and event requirements.

Salary range from $60,000 to $85,000 DOE; however, base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A range of benefits may include bonuses, equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off, which may be provided as part of the compensation package.
