Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer lead interested in ocean engineering. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the naval undersea and naval surface domains, including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert and key leader, assisting in addressing complex challenges while ensuring the team operates effectively and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include being a team leader in overseeing technical work and ensuring project requirements are met with precision and accuracy. You will act as a team leader by reviewing work, and contributing to the development of innovative procedures, processes, and standards to enhance team performance. You will ensure systems are built, tested, and deployed seamlessly, while ensuring the team is meeting project objectives. Every day will present unique challenges requiring teamwork, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.
After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) activities across the product development lifecycle.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
