Job summary

Alstom in Plattsburgh, NY is seeking a full-time onsite Site Industrial Controller to oversee the site’s financial activities and deliver transparent, accurate reporting. You’ll partner with site leadership to drive performance, manage budgets, and forecast financial indicators across functions and programs.

The role requires a finance or related degree, strong analytical skills, and experience with SAP. You will operate in an international environment, collaborating with colleagues across sites

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, transparent financial information to support site performance.
  • Assist the Site Managing Director in all financial matters.
  • Interpret data and figures to provide actionable insights.
  • Act as the interface between site functions to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Monitor and forecast the financial indicators of the site.
  • Set targets and create a controlled environment for cost management to maximize performance.
  • Validate financial flows and final reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Challenge and analyze risks or variances to provide insightful recommendations.
  • Develop action plans to optimize performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and consolidate financial data to produce accurate actuals, budgets, and forecasts, while ensuring compliance with Alstom’s reporting guidelines.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial management and controlling expertise in a new cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates. You’ll play a critical role in organizing, managing, and coordinating the financial activities of the Plattsburgh site, ensuring accurate, transparent information and enabling site performance. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (site management, site functions, and finance teams), guide and interpret data/figures, monitor financial indicators, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:
