Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Site MRO/Indirect Buyer Professional to manage the plant supply base, lead supplier negotiations, and oversee RFQ and ordering processes at the Fairfax Site in Kansas City. The role emphasizes governance, cost optimization, and cross-plant synergies in industrial indirect purchasing.

You will collaborate with Finance on supplier risk, benchmark MRO costs, and drive value through strategic sourcing and contract management.

Qualifications

• Technical or business background with specialty in purchasing.
• 3 years' experience in a purchasing department in an industrial & international environment.
• Experience in industrial indirect purchasing is a plus (scope maintenance, repair, industrial consumables and services, CAPEX and lost packaging).
• Knowledge of local, regional and global markets.
• Purchasing process knowledge: supplier selection, supplier ranking, supplier development, commodity strategy.
• Sourcing process, order to pay process, and technical negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manages activities in line with governance rules and purchasing policy.
• Owns the plant supply base and annual vendor rating.
• Manages supplier risk with Finance on supplier health.
• Benchmarks MRO costs and conditions across plants for improvements.
• Leads supplier negotiations with at least 3 competitors.
• Manages purchasing requests flow and RFQ process for the plant.
• Prepares sourcing recommendations and presents them in sourcing.
• After approval, manages ordering in compliance with laws and OP policy.
• Manages plant contracts and implements global contracts for the plant.
• Optimizes the order-to-pay process for recurrent purchases.
