Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Hayward, CA is hiring a Site Hand to maintain yard and storage areas, inspect/fill and load propane cylinders or tanks for drivers and customers. You will work independently yet be part of a safety-conscious team. The role requires a HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 20–50 lbs.

Prior propane knowledge is a plus but not required; training provided. Hourly pay ranges from $21 to $23 with potential for endorsements; we are an equal

• Handles and maintains flow of materials and products under safety guidelines.
• Maintains shop and dock area to ensure a professional appearance and safe environment.
• Serves as a public-facing representative, assisting customers and drivers.
• Prepares and completes end-of-day paperwork and manifest documentation with accuracy.
• Performs physical, outdoor work, including lifting and moving objects up to 20–50 lbs.

The Site Hand is responsible for maintaining the yard and storage areas, inspecting/filling and loading propane cylinders or tanks for drivers and customers, and assisting drivers as needed. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, safety conscious and team oriented.

• Inspects, repairs, fills and loads cylinders/tanks
• Handles and maintains flow of materials and products under safety guidelines
• Maintains shop and dock area to ensure a professional appearance and safe environment
• Serves as a public-facing representative, assisting customers and drivers
• Prepares and completes end-of-day paperwork and manifest documentation with accuracy

What you bring:

• Valid Driver License is required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of propane is a plus, but no experience is necessary
• Organized and detail oriented
• Safety-focused is a must

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 - $23.00, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
