Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Specialist to safely deliver propane, load and unload products, and provide exceptional customer service. You will perform regular vehicle inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure safety standards are met in all tasks.

The role requires CDL with Tanker & Hazmat endorsements, a clean driving record, and up-to-date DOT medical certification. On-call evenings/weekends may be required, with competitive compensation and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year job related propane experience.
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker & Hazmat Endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Up-to-date DOT medical certification.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Initiate and conduct the asset verification process.
• Collect customer signatures/stamps and payments for deposit if necessary.
• Offer customer brochures with basic price lists and a contact number.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; print delivery tickets.
• Complete daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to safety standards; report mechanical issues.
• Document pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling information.
• Notify Dispatcher of issues to resolve.
• Provide propane tank installations in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with codes and safety policies.
• Identify and correct leaks; respond to emergencies.
• Perform tank inspections/repairs at customer locations.
• Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. • Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable, document pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the Dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Provide Propane tank installations in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all state/local codes and safety policies. Identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection. Respond to customer emergencies as needed. Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations. Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks in preparation of installation.

What you bring:

• CDL Class A or B with Tanker & Hazmat Endorsements

Pay Transparency:

The hourly rate ranges from $30.00-$35.00 with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
