Job summary

Cajun Industries, LLC is seeking a Labor Foreman to supervise and coordinate the activity of Laborers to ensure that work is done safely, correctly and timely. Produces high quality work, safely and productively at all times.

Looks for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Physical: move through active construction and project sites, navigate uneven terrain and varying surface conditions.
• Physical: inspect work, access materials, equipment and work areas at ground level and in restricted locations.
• Physical: ascend/descend stairs, ladders, scaffolding and elevated work surfaces safely.
• Physical: handle, operate and use hand and power tools, equipment and materials.
• Physical: lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
• Mental: read, interpret and apply work instructions, plans and safety requirements.
• Mental: communicate and collaborate with crew, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Mental: make timely decisions prioritizing safety, quality and productivity.
• Mental: maintain concentration amid multiple activities and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met.
• Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems.
• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work.
• Mentor inexperienced team members.
• Assist other craft workers as needed.
