Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Knoxville, TN is seeking a General Foreman for its PCI Knoxville 144 operations. The role leads safety, productivity and quality on assigned projects, coordinating with the superintendent and project manager to start, execute and close out work.

You will schedule crews using look-ahead schedules, supervise trades, build strong relationships with vendors and customers, and represent the branch on site.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a supervisor on a construction jobsite.
• Experience working interior services such as Drywall, Framing, Insulated Metal Panels, Interior/Exterior walls, Specialty Panels, Clean Rooms, etc.
• Must have a track record of successfully performing supervisory responsibilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and details related to interior systems.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for crew safety, performance, productivity and work quality for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with superintendent and project manager to coordinate project startup, execution and close out.
• Use look-ahead schedules, manpower forecasts and project specifications to provide optimum scheduling of material, manpower and crew mix.
• Direct and assign crew field activities to maximize productivity while maintaining PCG standards of quality and safety.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with all trades, vendors, coworkers and customers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
• Convey a professional and positive attitude as the onsite representative of the branch and corporation.
• Use available technology to perform job tasks efficiently.
• Ability to perform all job duties and related work functions safely and alertly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned; on-the-job training offered; recruiting, training and assisting with building a strong workforce.
