Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Operational Business Analyst (Site Finance) to drive financial and operational analysis across the site. The role covers vendor payables, hourly activity reporting, and productivity metrics to support management decisions.

You will audit payments, generate key performance reports, and partner with Operations and HR to ensure accurate financial execution. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or equivalent; 2 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business is preferred.
• Some knowledge of Finance or accounting is beneficial.
• Logistics or supply chain exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit vendor payables for accuracy and approvals prior to payment.
• Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements and document activity.
• Provide analytical support to managers and supervisors as needed.
• Prepare monthly close accruals and journal entries.
• Reconcile POs to support expense recognition and revenue reporting.

The Operational Business Analyst (Site Finance) role has a national salary range of $55,000 - $90,000.

For roles within California the range is $70,304 - $90,000, Washington is $80,169 - $90,000, New York is 62,354 - $90,000 and Colorado 57,500 - $90,000.

In this dynamic role, you\'ll play a key role in all operating activities, including customer demand/volume planning, warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and more. You\'ll be responsible for auditing vendor payables, providing accurate hourly activity reporting, and providing analytical support to managers and supervisors as needed.

To succeed in this role, you\'ll need to be a problem solver, a strategic thinker, and an expert in financial and operational analysis. You\'ll be confident working independently, managing priorities, and juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment
• Execute daily customer / vendor contract requirements and identify accessorial activity and ensure necessary documentation
• Work with Operations and HR department associates on a daily basis, providing support and assistance as needed
• Provide support to Kronos application and set-up to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting
• Interact with Managers and Supervisors to provide analytical support as needed
• Direct involvement with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support to operations personnel in all areas of the operation as needed and requested
• Prepare month end close accrual and reclass journal entries
• Assist as needed with accounts receivable processing, collection, proper revenue reporting, and account payable processing
• Reconcile Purchase Orders as support to expense recognition
• Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis
• Participate in the collection of performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements
• Ownership of balance sheets (black-line) account reconciliations

Requirements

• Associates Degree in business or equivalent 2 years equivalent work experience, required
• Bachelor\'s Degree in business, preferred
• Some knowledge of Finance or accounting, preferred
• Logistics industry experience, preferred
• Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles, preferred
• Basic accounting knowledge; P&L and balance sheet
• Effective communication skills; verbal & written
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team player
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and time management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic PC skill proficiency, including MS Office
• Strong presentation skillset
• Willingness to travel
