Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Operational Business Analyst (Site Finance) to support financial and operational analysis across the site. The role includes auditing vendor payables, preparing hourly activity reports, and providing analytical support to managers and supervisors.

Candidate will analyze labor productivity, assist with month-end close entries, and collaborate with Operations, HR, and Finance to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or equivalent two years of experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred.
• Some knowledge of finance or accounting is preferred.
• Logistics industry experience is preferred.
• Strong accounting fundamentals: P&L and balance sheet.

Responsibilities

• Audit vendor payables for accuracy and approvals before payment.
• Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements and document activity.
• Collaborate with Operations and HR daily to provide support.
• Support Kronos application setup to ensure hourly reporting.
• Provide analytical support to managers and supervisors as needed.
• Work with Accounting and Commercial Finance teams on the close and reconciliations.
• Prepare labor analysis and performance measurements for operations.
• Assist with revenue reporting, AR/AP processing, and PO reconciliation.

The Operational Business Analyst (Site Finance) role has a national salary range of $55,000 - $90,000.

For roles within California the range is $70,304 - $90,000, Washington is $80,169 - $90,000, New York is 62,354 - $90,000 and Colorado 57,500 - $90,000.

In this dynamic role, you'll play a key role in all operating activities, including customer demand/volume planning, warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and more. You'll be responsible for auditing vendor payables, providing accurate hourly activity reporting, and providing analytical support to managers and supervisors as needed.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a problem solver, a strategic thinker, and an expert in financial and operational analysis. You'll be confident working independently, managing priorities, and juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment
• Execute daily customer / vendor contract requirements and identify accessorial activity and ensure necessary documentation
• Work with Operations and HR department associates on a daily basis, providing support and assistance as needed
• Provide support to Kronos application and set-up to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting
• Interact with Managers and Supervisors to provide analytical support as needed
• Direct involvement with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support to operations personnel in all areas of the operation as needed and requested
• Prepare month end close accrual and reclass journal entries
• Assist as needed with accounts receivable processing, collection, proper revenue reporting, and account payable processing
• Reconcile Purchase Orders as support to expense recognition
• Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis
• Participate in the collection of performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements
• Ownership of balance sheets (black-line) account reconciliations

Requirements

• Associates Degree in business or equivalent 2 years equivalent work experience, required
• Bachelor's Degree in business, preferred
• Some knowledge of Finance or accounting, preferred
• Logistics industry experience, preferred
• Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles, preferred
• Basic accounting knowledge; P&L and balance sheet
• Effective communication skills; verbal & written
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team player
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and time management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
