Moog Inc. is seeking a Site Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer in Buffalo, NY for an onsite, 1st-shift role. You will implement site EHS programs, lead training, ensure regulatory compliance, and integrate EHS management systems into facility processes.

You will identify hazards, assess risks, develop procedures, and collaborate with site leadership to drive continuous EHS improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years EHS experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience identifying hazards, assessing risk, and providing mitigations.
• Experience developing and delivering EHS training.
• Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.

Job Title: Site Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer

Reporting To: Manager, EHS & Facilities

Work Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Moog's Military Aircraft Group is in search of a Site Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer. You will be responsible for implementation of site Environmental Health and Safety tasks. Scope of work includes managing EHS programs, leading EHS required training, ensuring chemical use/hazard/risk data is collected and interpreted for reporting, and implementing and integrating all related EHS management systems into facility processes.

This opportunity offers a 1st shift, on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY Location.

As a Site EHS Engineer, you will:

• Support the identification of hazards and help assess associated risks across operations
• Assist with creating or updating EHS procedures and audit programs to reduce risks
• Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of EHS training programs
• Review EHS regulations with guidance and support compliance initiatives
• Provide day-to-day EHS support to employees and supervisors
• Help monitor regulatory requirements, reporting, and EHS systems to maintain compliance
• Participate in emergency response activities as needed
• Support interactions with regulatory agencies during inspections and follow-ups
• Assist with internal and external EHS reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA, ESG data)
• Work collaboratively with site leadership and EHS teams to support EHS initiatives

To be considered for the Site EHS Engineer role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

• A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field
• Plus a minimum of 3 years environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or production related environment including the following:
  • Identifying hazards, assessing risk and provide options to eliminate or minimize the hazards/risks.
  • Ability to review and interpret EHS data and support follow-up actions
  • Experience assisting with site EHS procedures and programs
  • Experience supporting the implementation of EHS programs
  • Experience participating in EHS assessments and helping prioritize findings
  • Ability to assist in developing and delivering EHS training
  • Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective action efforts

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually
