Job summary

Croda is seeking a Site Engineering Manager at our Alabaster, AL site to oversee maintenance, utilities, plant and project engineering and validation. You will lead a team, manage budgets, ensure SHE and cGMP compliance, and drive capital and maintenance strategies to improve reliability and efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years in production/plant engineering roles, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and technical oversight for maintenance, utilities, plant and project engineering, validation, site engineering competencies, and information technology functions.
• Ensure departmental operations meet business requirements, operational budgets and that all processes are compliant with SHE and cGMP regulations.
• Accountable for departmental capital spend, engineering expense budget, performance of engineering providers, and asset reliability over time.
• Determines strategic direction of site engineering and sets plans to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Develops processes and structure to support growth plans through capex and continuous improvements.
• Collaborates with SHE and Quality to ensure plant utilities, equipment and systems are safe, compliant and cost-effective.
