Job summary

Mawson Infrastructure Group is seeking a Site Engineer 1 to support operations at the Midland, PA data center site. You will perform electrical, mechanical, and technical tasks within modular data centers housing mining machines to optimize hash rate and uptime.

Role reports to the General Manager and involves hardware deployment, troubleshooting, asset management, and data collection for audits. Outdoor work and teamwork with leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation to the Midland, PA site.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Interest in cryptocurrency industry.
• Attention to detail and the ability to learn IP addressing and subnetting concepts.
• Ability to understand small electronics and low to medium voltage electronics.
• Strong verbal and written communication to interact with a wide range of people.
• Good problem-solving skills and independent troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test hardware and software issues.
• Maintain budgeted hash rate and ensure efficient site operations.
• Perform daily data entry and organize files for auditing hardware and assets.
• Deploy crypto mining hardware and support facility audits with data collection.
• Receive and ship equipment as directed by leadership and communicate site issues promptly.

Job description

Mawson is looking for a Site Engineer 1 to maintain data at our Luna Squares Cryptocurrency Mining site.

The role will be based out of our Midland, PA site.

As a Site Engineer 1, you will be expected to perform a variety of duties which include electrical, mechanical, and technical work in Modular Data Centers with Mining Machines to streamline crypto mining operations. This role will report to the General Manager and be held responsible for various metrics such as, timely completion of assigned tasks to maximize operational efficiencies and hash rate.

What will you own?

• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust hardware and software issues.
• Responsible for maintaining budgeted hash rate.
• Following the requirements, troubleshooting issues, and completing daily workflow of site operations, while promoting and enhancing the efficiency at all levels.
• Accountable for managing company and customer-owned assets, offering technical support, and providing appropriate resolutions to issues.
• Responsible for daily data entry and maintenance of organized files for auditing of hardware and fixed assets.
• Physically deploying crypto mining hardware and collecting data needed for facility audits.
• Receiving and shipping equipment as directed by Leadership.
• Effectively communicates any site issues to Leadership.
• Additional duties as assigned by Leadership or as needed by business demand.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit. Frequently must squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, and reach forward. Daily use of hand strength to grasp tools, supplies and equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
