Job summary

Acmo Water Technology is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join our expanding team. You will lead field work on electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across water supply and irrigation projects, handling installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, and control panels; strong coordination with clients and internal teams; and travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related engineering.
• 3-5 years of water supply, irrigation, WTP, pump house, automation or infrastructure project experience.
• Hands-on experience in automation, instrumentation, electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Experience in PLC/SCADA integration, loop checking, and commissioning activities.
• Ability to independently manage site activities and coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Preference for pump house installation/commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission PLC/SCADA/HMI and automation systems on site.
• Install, calibrate, and commission field instrumentation (Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature).
• Install and commission MCC, PCC, VFD, soft starters and electrical control panels.
• Execute cable laying, termination, loop checking, I/O testing, and troubleshooting.
• Perform pump motor control testing and PLC/SCADA integration tasks.
• Monitor project execution to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams for smooth project implementation.
• Supervise site manpower and subcontractors to ensure safe work execution.
• Prepare commissioning reports, testing documents, and project completion records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specs, and quality requirements.

Job description

• Installation, testing, and commissioning of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and automation systems.
• Installation, calibration, and commissioning of field instrumentation including Flow, Pressure, Level, and Temperature instruments
• Installation and commissioning of MCC, PCC, VFD, Soft Starter, and electrical control panels
• Execute cable laying, termination, loop checking, I/O testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Perform pump motor control testing, interlock verification, and PLC/SCADA integration activities
• Monitor project execution activities and ensure work is completed as per project schedules and quality standards
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams for smooth project implementation
• Supervise site manpower and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient work execution
• Prepare commissioning reports, testing documents, and project completion records.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical, instrumentation, automation, PLC/SCADA systems, and project site execution. This role will be responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ensuring successful project delivery across various water supply and irrigation projects.

1. Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
2. 3-5 years of relevant experience in Water Supply, Irrigation, WTP, Pump House, Automation, or Infrastructure Projects.
3. Hands-on experience in Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical Installation, Testing, and Commissioning activities.
4. Experience in PLC/SCADA Integration, Loop Checking, and Commissioning activities.
5. Ability to independently manage site activities and coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

7. Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in pump house installation and commissioning projects.
