Job summary

Shree Sai Construction Co in the United States seeks a technically sound Site Engineer to execute civil construction activities per approved drawings, BOQ, specs, quality standards, and project schedules on active sites.

You will coordinate with supervisors, labour teams, machinery operators, subcontractors and senior engineers; read drawings; supervise earthwork, road works, drainage, and structural concrete; maintain daily reports and progress measurements; and ensure site safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Approximately 3-8 years of relevant site execution experience, depending on project complexity.
• Practical experience in infrastructure or industrial civil construction projects.
• Knowledge of earthwork, road construction, embankment, GSB, WMM, concrete, drainage, and related activities.
• Ability to read drawings and understand levels, quantities, specifications, and BOQ items.
• Familiarity with site measurement, quality control, daily progress reporting, and resource planning.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Must be proactive, disciplined, technically competent, and capable of independently managing assigned site activities.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites and relocate or travel as per project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and PM instructions.
• Handle site execution for roads, bridges, canals, earthworks, drainage, and concrete works per project needs.
• Read and interpret civil drawings, sections, levels, and setting-out details.
• Coordinate with surveyors for alignment, levels, measurements, and setting out.
• Supervise excavation, filling, compaction, grading, concreting, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, drainage, and related activities.
• Ensure correct levels, quantities, slopes, and workmanship per drawings and specs.
• Coordinate daily deployment of labour, machinery, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Monitor daily progress, work quantities, equipment productivity, and labour utilization.
• Maintain daily site reports, measurement records, hindrance records, material consumption records, and progress photos.
• Coordinate with Billing Engineer for joint measurements, BOQ reconciliation, and RA bill preparation.
• Ensure proper utilization of construction machinery such as excavators, tippers, graders, rollers, and other equipment.
• Identify technical issues, drawing discrepancies, site constraints, and execution difficulties and report them promptly.
• Implement quality control procedures and coordinate material testing and field tests.
• Ensure site safety, housekeeping, and compliance with project-specific safety requirements.
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, quality teams, and senior management for inspections and approvals.

About the Role

• Execute day-to-day civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and instructions from the Project Manager.
• Handle site execution for Concrete Roads DLC PQC Etc, Asphalt roads, bridges, canals, dams, KT weirs, earthwork, embankments, GSB, WMM, drainage, pipelines, concrete works, and industrial civil structures, depending on project requirements.
• Read and interpret civil drawings, longitudinal sections, cross-sections, structural drawings, levels, and setting-out details.
• Coordinate with surveyors for alignment, chainage, levels, measurements, and setting out.
• Supervise excavation, filling, compaction, grading, concreting, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, drainage, and related civil activities.
