Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support plant design, maintenance, reliability, and safety across manufacturing facilities in Alabama. The role focuses on safe, efficient electrical systems and compliant operations.

You will maintain electrical diagrams, lead maintenance programs, support PLC/DCS/UPS systems, and supervise technicians. This on-site position requires hands-on reliability, safety focus, and collaboration with plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and instrumentation.
• 2+ years of experience with AC/DC drives and motors.
• 2+ years of experience with low- and medium-voltage power distribution.
• Experience with substations, transformers, circuit breakers, cables, and related equipment.
• 2+ years of Facility Engineering experience.
• Strong project management, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Site Electrical Engineer supporting plant Maintenance.
• Maintain electrical single-line diagrams and Arc Flash Analysis/labeling.
• Support NFPA 70E compliance and electrical safety requirements.
• Develop and recommend Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.
• Support PLC, DCS, instrumentation, UPS, and DC voltage systems.
• Provide electrical/maintenance input for new process equipment specifications.
• Direct and support electricians, mechanics, technicians, and other plant personnel.
• Participate in Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR) and commissioning activities.
• Perform RCFA and recommend equipment reliability improvements.
• Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and field data to improve reliability.
• Establish critical equipment spare-parts requirements.
• Prepare electrical specifications, technical drawings, and engineering calculations.
• Ensure installations, maintenance, and operations comply with applicable codes, standards, and plant requirements.
• Coordinate electrical installation, testing, construction, maintenance, and documentation activities.
• Train and collaborate with technicians, engineers, and plant management as needed.
